Biz 417 wants to see more women share their stories and lessons with others through public speaking opportunities. Through a six-week training program, Biz 417 helps women choose and clarify a shareable message, develop it into a compelling and impactful talk and learn how to confidently share it with others. The ultimate goal is to raise the confidence and visibility of local women who can speak at local and regional events and within their own industry groups and conferences.

About The Program

Applications for the Fall 2026 class are open now. Deadline is August 17, 2026.
 
You've learned and earned wisdom, insight and expertise others are working to learn right now. Often the roadblocks for women are clarity on your message and confidence in your ability to use it to make a difference in the world. We're here to help! Biz 417 is partnering with speaker coach, Lori Robertson, to provide a select group of local women high-impact training to identify, craft and deliver a compelling 15-minute signature talk. Whether you've never given a talk before or have done some public speaking and need help crafting an impactful message and training on best practices to delivering it with confidence, we want to help.

Sessions will run August—October in the fall or February—April in the spring mostly from 8:00-9:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings at the 417 Magazine office. Offers the essential skills to master public speaking, blending theory with practical exercises for persuasive articulation and audience engagement.

This package includes:

  • Six sessions
  • 30 minute 1:1 rehearsal
  • One-hour long private coaching session with Lori

ADDITIONAL COACHING CLASSES

Additional coaching and consulting sessions with Lori can be added to either package for $420 as desired and can be added at any time during the duration of the program.
